What is the odd box at the end of the file name?

I don't think so. Any couple of .c files will do.
Probably what matters, and I just checked, is that the problem is only in the 32 bit version.
It looks a lot like a character (I see in the 64 bitter that's a right pointing triangle) not present in the XP system (or whatever) font file.

Yes, it's a Unicode character u23f5 (black medium right-pointing triangle), apparently missing from XP. We'll make a fix in the next build, switching to ">" under XP.
