Windows Explorer Integration

Post by rkcarroll »

I have noticed just recently (maybe today) that Windows Explorer (Shell) Integration only works for folders and not for files. I tried unchecking, saving, and re-checking the option with no luck. I'm running Windows 8 Pro 64 bit with ExamDiff Pro Version 6.0.3.6 (64 bit). Again, folders work but not files. In other words, the context menu does not offer any ExamDiff Pro options when I right-click on a file, but it DOES if I right-click on a folder. Any ideas?

Try registering the Shell extension DLL from the command line: open CMD, change directory to your EDPro folder, then run this command

regsvr32 EDPShell.dll

It's ACCESS DENIED error, you need to open the Admin command prompt.
