Ignoring "Words"

Post by Poppa »

Using V3.5.1.1

Very often use the product for comparing .CSV files.
I have added the sort as a plug in.
Have set "Word separators" to "," in order to identify errors within a word (column)

I would now like to be able to ignore a specific "word" / column. Often i am comparing output from two different days and i would like to eliminate errors caused by that . Because prior fields are of dynamic lengths, i can't get good results by ignoring column ranges.

With the word identifier set, it would be nice to be able to ignore the 5th "word".

Any work around to this would be great. (other that pre editing the file to change all dates from one to the other)

The right way to ignore specific words is via the "Parts matching regular expression" option under Options | Compare.
