powerpoint compare does not work in 3.5 beta

Hi there,
with 3.5 beta i can not compare powerpoint documents.
When using the explorer shell integration i get a error msg:
"Failed to execute plug-in app cmd /d .... catppt.exe file1 file2."
I can run catppt.exe from the commandline with the two files however.
Where is the error ?
Another question: does it have problems, when there are spaces in filenames ?
