I just discovered the possibility of the "inline" plugin call (EDP is always a mine of options!) but...
If <inline> is set in this field or if no extension is set, the plug-in is for inline use only.
<inline> doesn't seem to work and no extension...
Extension list cannot be empty.
Then it seems there is a problem when, in an inline invocation, (either?) the plugin name or the file/path name contains blanks.
I assumed from the help that any plug-in can be used inline, but the call always fails.
It's apparent that I'm overlooking something...

Yes, it's broken at the moment. Since it's not one of widely used features, we'll delay fixing it until the next version.
