Poltergeist

Post by MSpagni »

I told you I saw some odd things.
Well, maybe now I have something that seems "solid" (more or less  ).
The algorithm is "patience"

I'm trying to understand what is wrong with the highlighted... and I can't. Could you elaborate?

Gosh, I read misaligning the lines!
Sure it seems "solid": it is, and it's also right!

Forget it all, sorry.
It looked a bit too easy compared to the evanescent troubles I saw a couple of versions ago.
Maybe they are gone... or maybe it was another mine mishap!

 The usual Heisenbug!
Since I already seemed too many times a visionary, I took some screenshots with the various algorithms.
And since the maximum number of attachements is 3 but I have 5 screenshots, I put 2 of them in the following message.

Thanks. Would be nice to see some explanations, like "in image 1 here's what's wrong; ...". Also, please provide your files and options, either here or via email.

Well, do you think that "Invia232(TempBuffer,6)" is equal to "Invia232(temp_buf,6);"?
It seems it depends on the algorithm... and sometimes even on I-don't-know-what (see Minimal or Myers)!

And "void Monitor_Serial_SendSampledCurrentValue(void){" is equal
to "void Monitor_Serial_SendSampledCurrentValue(void){" or not?
Once again, it depends on the algorithm.
Hystogram, Myers, Patience and Minimal say no!

The only one completely correct is Classic.

Please take note of the manual alignment of line 460 with line 432.

To not be misunderstood: now I'm unable to reproduce none of them!

Maybe still send your files, we could be more lucky in reproducing this.

Thanks for the files but, predictably, cannot reproduce so far.
