ExamDiff Pro is crashing

ExamDiff Pro is crashing

I had an ASUS Laptop, Windows 8.1, and I always used ExamDiff Pro. For years, and even with other old computers.

I bought a new DELL Laptop, using also Windows 8.1 and only in this new machine, I cannot use ExamDiff Pro. Every time I execute a comparison, files or directories, after opening the two panels, maybe 2 seconds after, it crashes. Then this screen appears:

"ExamDiff Pro has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
Do you want to email the diagnostic error report (minidump) to PrestoSoft to help resolve your problem?
Note that if you decide to send the report, your default email client will open, and you will be able to view and edit your email before sending it."

And if I click "Email minidump" then another crash happens, with a windows message that says "Examm Diff Pro stop working", and nothing else can be done.

Does anybody has a hint what can be? Maybe a conflict with other software? I have no idea where to start...

I love the product, but now it is unusable...
