get lastest

I am using 2.2a and i have a feeling that whenever i do a get latest recursive from the top of the my project source folder, every single files in the tree will be downloaded even if they are not changed. Is this the case?
I have this feeling because I ususally have a few files changed out of a total of about 100 files and it takes quite a while to complete the get latest.

There was a bug in 2.2a that could cause such behavior. Now that 2.3 is released, why not use the latest version?

It is good to hear 2.3 doesn't have this problem. I actually plan to upgrade and can i just uninstall 2.2 and then install 2.3 driectly to use it? or do i have to re-create the source tree in the FTP server because 2.2 and 2.3 is incompatible?

Yes, just install 2.3; not other actions are required. However, you need to upgrade all of your FtpVC users to 2.3.

thanks! i have bought three licenses of 2.2 about 3 months ago, am i illegible for free upgrade to 2.3?

Yes. Your password file will be automatically recognized by 2.3.
