Good Day Everyone,

I am in the process of implementing major changes to our divisions servers. One of the most critical aspects is that I can do an exact comparison of 2 files and prove 100% that they are identical even if the name or date has been changed.

We are an accounting firm and I am trying to eliminate redundant files and enforce an electronic file retention policy. Will this software be able to 100% certify that 2 files were identical before the duplicate was deleted ? Does it allow "photographing" of the comparison ?

My apologies I neglected to mention the need for an accurate comparison would be for concerns such as client or government litigation. I do note that it does appear to provide that level of certanty.

Yes, it does provide 100% certainty that 2 given files are identical. If you compare directory, uncheck all options under "Do not perform full file comparison" in Options | Dir comparison.

I'm not sure what "photographing" of the comparison means.
