we have created an application for ExamDiff Pro 15.0.1.15 in SCCM and the installation behavior is set to “Install for System” so that the installation program runs with an elevated privilege when the installation through software center is triggered .
Command line used for installation is Execute-Process -Path "setup_64bit.exe" -Parameter '/VERYSILENT /NORESTART /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /MERGETASKS="!desktopicon" /LOG="C:\Windows\Logs\Exam_Diff_Pro_15\Exam_Diff_v15.log"' (using PSADT/powershell)
When we try the installation through software center on 3 different windows 11 laptops, the installation process completes with the attached error message.
When we launch ExamDiff pro from start menu , it opens fine with a prompt to activate the license . When we checked the installation log (attached), there are no specific error message related to .DLL file registration getting failed. Need your help to get this fixed , so that the installation completes without above popup (Failed to register ExamDiff Pro package).
end user has also confirmed that he had admin rights on his laptop and the manual software install was successful on his laptop. We have seen similar behavior on our test machines too.
Is there any options to get this software installed through machine context (local system account) and it can register the required shell extensions .
