Has the user installed Internet Explorer 11 by any chance? If so, unfortunately, IE11 appears to have introduced a bug in WinIntet's FTP API. See https://connect.microsoft.com/IE/feedba ... ed-in-ie11 for details. We are monitoring this situation as it affects FtpVC but it looks like there's no workaround for the time being, other than uninstalling IE11.

Hi,
Is there any update on this?

Windows Updates looks to have broken the ability to add new files.
Checking files back in also takes a very long time now.

If its not going to be sorted - ftpvc is effectively unusable.

We are, along with other developers, waiting for the Microsoft fix (see the link at http://www.prestosoft.com/fvc_ftpvc.asp).

Update: There a fix from Microsoft that we recommend to install if you have Internet Explorer 11. Based on our testing, it fixes WinInet problems that were reported by multiple users.
