Keep dialog settings for selecting a file

Post by Yahoo Serious »

When selecting a (second) file I sometimes have a whole bunch of files to look for (Delphi keeps directory with a history of previous saves). When searching for the right one, I have to select the Details-View to see the File-timestamp. If I happen to guess the wrong timestamp, I'll try another one. But hey, I have to select the Details-View to see the File-timestamp.

Is it possible to keep the settings for the dialog opening a file at least during the GUI-session, and perhaps even have it persist across sessions?

Thanks in advance,

This is not a bad idea. We tried it at some point in 2002, and couldn't make this feature work. Perhaps it's worth another look.

This feature will be added to the next version but only for XP or higher.
