How to get rid of Explorer Context menu entry?

Post by MudGuard »

Hi,

I use EDPro 3.4 (just updated to the 17. Jan. version, but problem existed before ...).

In the context menu in Explorer, there are three entries:
1. Compare to "Some File"
2. Compare to "Some Other File"
3. Select first item to compare

When I use number 3 "Select first item", number one changes - the "Some File" is replaced by the item I used the "Select first" on.

Number 2 does never change, it refers to a file which does not exist any longer ...

How can I get rid of it?

TIA,
Andreas

The second item appears only if you enable "Allow comparing files to directories" under Options | Global | General (see http://www.prestosoft.com/htmlhelp/edp/ ... ptions.asp). Enabling this option will show first file name for a directory, and first directory name -- for a file.

Here is the promised report:
I got rid of it by switching off File to Folder comparison as suggested.

Thanks for the help!
