Use Column A "Computer Name" as match to compare

Post by jwgibson949 »

I am outputting data into CSV file for base line comparison. In column A is a field for computer name. Is there a way to have use this field as the match field first in both files matching the same computer name and compare the data that is in the rest of the columns. The output data may add additional computers and their data into the second file. See attachment

where the spreadsheet uses column A as computer name and in this case there are two different computer names in the lines being compared. Is it possible to have the comparison match the computer name first and show differences?

You'll have to use manual synchronization links to match lines you wish. See http://www.prestosoft.com/edp_tutorial_adv3.asp for an example of doing it.
