Directory deletion glitch

Post by MSpagni »

I met this problem a lot of times, but until now I had no time to investigate.
So you must blame my holidays. :D

Let's start with this situation:
A
A\B
A\Foo1
A\B\C
A\B\Foo2
A\B\C\D
A\B\C\Foo3
A\B\C\D\Foo4
to be compared with:
A
A\B
A\Foo1
Click on the arrow to prune the lower part of the branch.
The following directories have become empty as a result of file deletion. Do you want to delete them?
A\B\C\D\
Yes!

The result is as shown in the attachement, but it's wrong since the directory "C" has already been (correctly) removed.
Of course, asking EDP to erase it, gets "Can't eliminate the file".

I found also some other similar glitches but, after all, my holidays are still only at the beginning...

Thank you, as always.

Off topic: I forgot that my wife is on holidays too. My computer use time share dropped dramatically.
I was hoping for the usual "golden ratio" (61.8033988..% to my wife, the rest to me  ) but reality proved I was by far too optimistic. :(
And I also forgot my daughter!
Luckily, my dog doesn't need the computer... yet.

Sic!
It seems that your last fix fixed all the troubles at once.
Naaaa, it's too easy this way! :D

(Out of joke: thank you very much.)
