I had the same feeling, back then, but it was just a feeling. Nothing certain.
And so far I'm unable to reproduce the problem.

What happened to the red funnel (i.e. the toolbar button "Use comparison filters")?

No more crashes!

Believe me: EDP crashed regularily at least 10 times.
Now... no way.
But I recovered a crash report.
(This should prove I wasn't dreaming. Tired, yes; sleepy, yes; but dreaming, no. )

Comparing the two (presumably identical) files included in the attached zip causes various odd things to EDP.
The most common result is, soon or later, a crash.

I was comparing two epubs. They are different. There is no plugin (e.g. 7zip) for them, and anyway the plugins are disabled. Result: two panes with just one line (line 1) empty, no dialog messages (they are NOT disabled) and the status bar that, in the lower left of the screen, says "No differe...

It seems to me exactly the opposite, as is customary.
Zero usually means ok.

I'm used to speed up the scroll by rotating the mouse wheel while keeping the left button pressed, but next time I'll try this trick!

What has changed between 12.0.1.11 and 12.0.1.12 needing a modification of the shell integration?

Just in case you wonder: same problem with 12.0.1.13.

Test results:

• uninstalled everything, including the registry settings

• reinstalled ExamDiffPro 12.0.1.12

• no shell integration

• uninstalled everything, including the registry settings

• reinstalled ExamDiffPro 12.0.1.11

• pronto! Shell integration Ok

It's hard to believe in a chance...
