Re: Bug: Run in new instance
Unfortunately, there is still a problem. Here is what I did: 1. Compared 2 folders from the file explorer 2. Clicked on a file to see the difference 3. Realized that the settings are incorrect and reopened the file comparison in a different session -- this works correctly -- 4. Closed the file compa...

Re: Bug: Run in new instance
Fair enough, but that is very misleading. Perhaps you should look into changing the labels to be more intuitive. Please note that I did not say that those issues were unique in version 14, it is just that I encountered them that day. I am a heavy user of EDP and there are times where I encounter unc...

Re: Workflow question
That's the thing: When I am comparing folders, I do want individual file comparisons from those folders to open in a separate window. But when I am just comparing 2 files, and want to compare a different pair of files (or the same files in a different session), I want to reuse the existing window. T...

Re: Workflow question
It opens the new comparison in a new window, I'd like to reuse the old one.

Re: Workflow question
How would that work? How do you specify additional information in Explorer context menu? I wouldn't. After I open the comparison from Explorer (using the default session), I want to re-open it in EDP (using a different session) in the same window. More generally, I want an option to open a new comp...

Re: Workflow question
The only way to do it is to specify the /se command line option in Options | Global | Explorer Integration | Command line options. Wouldn't it open every comparison from Windows explorer in the specified session? That is not what I need. What I want to do is to re-open the current file (or folder) ...

Workflow question
Let's say I have two files in a folder: file1.xml and file2.xml, which I would like to compare from file explorer in a non-default session. If I select both files, right-click, and choose "Compare", EDP will compare them in the default unnamed session. However, I have a customized session ...

Bug: Undo (CTRL-Z) crashes EDP
EDP crashes when undoing changes using CTRL-Z
Here's how I reproduce it:
1) Start EDP with "empty files"
2) Type some characters in the right pane, and hit <ENTER>
3) Hit <CTRL>+<Z> (undo)
4) EDP crashes. If it doesn't, repeat steps 2-3 until it does.

Re: User-written plugins
EDP also has to recognize it as a plugin and associate it with some file types...
I'll check those pages.
Thanks!

User-written plugins
Hello,
Is there a guide for writing and configuring EDP plugins?
Thank you!
