Ability to "Get multiple versions from the History Dialog as long as they are versions of different files" is a new feature of 2.3, and you need to download 2.3 beta form the web site in order to use this feature. Please try it out and let us know if it works for you.

This is odd. So when you select a file as a first item, what happens? Does "First Directory to Compare" get added to the Registry with a file name? Also, what OS are you using?

You actually can match lines starting with 07B024 -- by using Options | Compare | Ignore parts of each line | First/last... | Before: 0, After : 6. This, however, will make these lines "identical", and you'll have to merge manually, by typing or using Copy/Paste.

EDPro can only compare identical directory trees. In such trees, finding duplicates (identical files) is easy by setting up a view filter to only display identical items.

FtpVC is a Windows-only client. Server can be anything that supports FTP protocol. Both of your requirements are implemented in FtpVC.
