Schrödinger's cat
Let's start by comparing two brances like what follows: C:\a\b\c.txt C:\a\b\d.txt and D:\a\b\e.txt D:\a\b\f.txt At first I ask to delete the two files e.txt and f.txt without removing the now empty directory. The status becomes: C:\a\b\c.txt C:\a\b\d.txt and D:\a\b (empty) Then I copy c.txt and d.tx...

Re: Photo comparison
I don't lnow if this can satisfy you (no thumbnails), but you could use an EDP plugin to extract image data (size, resolution etc.) and EXIF data (date, camera type, exposure data...) then compare those data.

Bug fix
Aha! So it wasn't just my impression.Fix: Inconsistent behavior after trying to compare files or directories that don't exist from the title bars
Fix: MRU sessions were sometimes not working correctly
No time to investigate.

Re: .odt text files?
Well, a bit surprising since those files are zipped, but your explication makes sense.
I'll put .odt in the "always treat these files as binary" list.
Thank you.

.odt text files?
Well, yes, in a sense .odt files are indeed text files.
Why EDP, by default and without any plugin, tries to compare them as "text" files?

Re: Copy not allowed
I must have overlooked something. The effect is not so easy to reproduce.
But yesterday I got it four times in a row!

Re: Copy not allowed
The arrow is completely ignored by the mouse.
The tooltip is the same all along the vertical bar AND on the arrow.

Copy not allowed
In a long list I have a group of files (apparently nothing special in their names or directories) in the left pane and nothing in the right pane. Normally I click on the arrow in the leftmost column to copy that block of files to the other directory. In this case the popup always says: "... Del...

Re: A problem of import/export :-)
Ok. A bit of manual editing.
Luckily I don't change toolbars layout too often.
Thanks

Re: A problem of import/export :-)
The key contains all ExamDiff Pro options, including its visual elements and sessions with their options. Good. But restoring the whole key doesn't create problem if the program installation path is different? I'm thinking about things like "Program files" and "Program files (x86)&qu...

A problem of import/export :-)
I strongly customized EDP to suit my needs, so I'd like to save my configuration in case I'll need to reinstall. Of course, I'm aware of the possibility of importing/exporting the options. What I miss is the possibility of saving/restoring the appearance of EDP. The windows layout is not a big probl...

Sic!
It seems that your last fix fixed all the troubles at once.
Naaaa, it's too easy this way!
(Out of joke: thank you very much.)

Oh, no!
I just installed the latest beta. The "version" column appears even if it's not checked in "select columns". No way to remove it. Some files (randomly choosed, or so it seems) are not shown in a pane (even if I'm sure they exist). Only the icon is shown and the texts are replaced...

Re: Directory deletion glitch
Thank you, as always. Off topic: I forgot that my wife is on holidays too. My computer use time share dropped dramatically. I was hoping for the usual "golden ratio" (61.8033988..% to my wife, the rest to me  ) but reality proved I was by far too optimistic. :( And I also forgot my d...
