it wouldn't be necessary to program this feature into each application if it were implemented by default in the Windows dialog. It is nice if it works in one application, but it would be much nicer if it worked in _every_ application without thousands of programmers implementing it again and again ...

3.5 beta bug report
Hi, ExamDiffPro 3.5 12.11.2006 05:08:39 (registered) comparing two binary files (identical, show anyway). Right-click on file, move mouse-pointer over "Explorer Menu" reliably crashes ExamDiff Pro: The instruction at "0x00407592" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The m...

I wonder if anybody uses them at all... Although I use ExamDiffPro many times per work day, I usually go through the compared files top t...

comments sometimes not marked as ignored
I found a small bug in Examdiff. It has to do with "Ignore comments". Sometimes, of a multiline comment, only the last line is marked as ignored. I tried to build a very small test case where the effect is visible. Comparing 1test /* 2test */ 3test to test1 will show only the */ marked as ...

Re: About Backup and Temp files ....
That is more or less what I was saying except that I had more or less the implicit idea that the backup file and the temp file may be actually the same file, and when there is a backup file, it can be just the temp file renamed as a backup file at the end of the saving process (this looks like to m...

file size limit: my guess: it depends on how much physical memory your machine has, how much virtual memory is configured, and how much memory is used up by other software while you run ExamDiff Pro. directory comparison: depends on how you configure ExamDiff Pro - lots of options regarding director...
