ExamDiff Pro is for comparing files or directories. Unless I misunderstood your goal, you need to find duplicates in one directory (the root of your drive). EDPro cannot help you with this task.

That was about properly showing large file sizes in directory comparison views.

The only way to compare such large files is to treat them as binary -- EDPro will just report whether files are different. There's no way to large such files in memory for displaying the differences.

It depends -- mostly on how many files you compare, and how many differences are found. You can ignore file time differences by unchecking "Consider files with different timestamps different" option under Options | Dir Comparison.

Make sure that you have "Store previous versions..." option set under Project Options | Advanced.

No, EDP does not produce a log. Depending on your OS, take a look at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q236964 , or search Google for error 1450 -- it seems to have something to do with your page file size.
