Re: prestosoft.com offline?

What I found out talking to our hosting provider is that they are currently blocking a number of countries, including Netherlands, due to a large number of attacks originating form them. I think it's wrong to punish the whole country but here we are. In the meantime, perhaps try using a proxy or a V...

It's fine for us. What country are you trying to access it from?

Re: Odd choice

We are going to make some changes to the text comparison algorithm in Build 11.0.0.8. The results should be more "intuitive" but the latter is pretty subjective.

It does look odd. We'll look into it.

Should be good now. As for the speed, looks OK from the US. Maybe intermittent issue.

It's from https://sslsites.de/paehl.com/open_source/?CURL_7.68.0, "Download WITH SUPPORT SSL". We had to give up on Stefan Kanthak, he stopped updating at 7.64.1.

Re: Install of new version "forgets" customized toolbar

If there is a bug, you need to be more specific. I just tested going from 10.0.1.21, with customized toolbars, to 11.0.0.6, and the toolbars were preserved, even after uninstalling version 10 first (while not deleting the Registry during that process). Having said this, there are sometimes significa...

Good point. The fix will appear in the next builds of 10.0 and 11.0 Beta.

Re: $OUTPUTFILEPATH

I'm a little confused. $OUTPUTFILEPATH is used internally as an alternative to standard output. It is then used by EDP to read the converted text and compare, while still pretending it deals with the actual file. $OUTPUTFILEPATH also gets the same extension as the actual (input) file.

Re: Scroll down

Believe me, this effect is very annoying and not present in version 10. It appeared in Build 10.0.1.14, so that may be a source of the confusion. (By the way: the deletion is now waaaaay faster! Thanks) Yes, filling list controls is much faster now, and it affects not just deletion but actual direc...

Re: No recompare

Remembering the last cancelled comparison would create problems if you wanted to type in blank panes and hit Re-compare. What would be compared then? Newly typed text or the remembered pair?

In any case, you can always start a new comparison in your scenario, as I mentioned earlier.

Re: No recompare

Not sure what is odd. Cancelling a comparison makes it look like it never happened and allows you to have blank panes, where you can type something and compare that.
