Thanks, but I meant that with the new build of 16th Feb, what's changed (since the 31st Jan build of 3.4)?

thanks, Andy

New version of 3.4

I see we got a 'new' 3.4 a few days ago - where do we read about what has been changed / fixed?

cheers, Andy

Yes, it is a bug in 3.3. See the last reply in http://www.prestosoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=48&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight= The fix is days away now. Hello, I'm not entirely sure how that problem is relevant to mine, since I am telling EDP to not look at the files...

Some files with diff. dates listed as Same, not Newer/Older

Hi all, in EDP 3.3, I am comparing two subdirs, where each has the same filelist, the file sizes are the same, but the file dates are different. EDP should be marking them all as 'Newer'/'Older', but for the first two, it sasy 'Same'. See here for the HTML diff report, which matches exactly what I s...

Why not use 30 days of evaluation to make up your mind ?
I am doing, that's what my 'yet' meant. :)

It appears that there is a better way, without adding an option, to handle this situation. The fix is in the latest Beta build; please try it and let us know if it works for you. Sorry for the delay in my response, I am downloading the latest beta now and will try it. -edit- In fact it's not a beta...

Hello psguru, thanks for the answer. Could an option to toggle this behaviour be added to the (no doubt vast) list of feature requests?

thanks

preventing EDP from stealing the focus

Had a quick search, doesn't seem anyone's asked this before: when I set EDP off on copying a large amount of stuff from one directory to another, I usually Alt-Tab off to something else. Annoyingly, EDP always pops back up to the front, stealing the focus, even if the focus is currently with a windo...

Try this: go to command line, then type "set", then hit Return. If your "TMP" setting is "C:\Temp", then the fix I mentioned in my previous reply will fix this problem too. Hi psguru, TMP (and TEMP) are set to c:\TEMP on my system. Thanks, I'll look out for the next ve...

Hello psguru, I'm not sure I explained the issue clearly enough. In my case, the c:\temp (for example) that I supply as the first parameter is completely ignored. Can you tell me whether you see the same behaviour? cheers

starting up EDP with directories that are under C:\TEMP?

Can anyone else confirm this behaviour, using EDP 3.2c? Basically, it seems to ignore parameters that are (i) subdirectories; AND (ii) under C:\TEMP. To illustrate: - Bring up the Windows Run dialogue - Type "c:\Program Files\ExamDiff Pro\ExamDiff.exe" c:\ and hit Return - EDP will start u...
