Question about beta 11

Hi,
I'm able to upgrade my EDP 10 license until June 2020 without any extra cost.
Will EDP 11 (GA) be released before that, and if not what is the consequence if I upgrade EDB to the beta 11 release...am I able to go back to EDP 10 if needed?

Re: Match Identical Strings in Two txt Files

I have a similar question as deepdoc1. I compare two text files (A, B). Both text files contains eight characters member names. Text file A could be considered the master. I would like to compare the files in the same way that deepdoc1 asked for. I would like to have this result: File A: File B: AAA...

Re: Exclude columns 1-6?

Yes, I'm a proud owner of the Pro version...so I'm ok.
But the rest of the development team that uses ExamDiff installed on a server needs a way to exclude column 1-6 (see my first post in this tread).

Matching different filenames?

Hi, Directory 1 contains the following files: test-1.dat test-2.dat Directory 2 contains: test-1.txt test-2 Is there a way to set up ExamDiff Pro to check (test-1.dat with test-1.txt) and (test-2.dat with test-2) during a directory compare with some sort of wild card setting? Re: Command Line

Thanks :).

I've saved a session file with the options I wanted...and added /sf:c:\test.edpi to the command, and it worked the way I wanted it to work. Is the /se option a better or faster way to achive the same result? I didn't really understand the differens.

Best regards,

Command Line

Hi, I like to compare two files but not the first 6 bytes (that contains row number) on each line. I know I could manage this from the application itself (GUI based), but can I kick it off from the command line? ExamDiff c:\temp\a.txt c:\temp\b.txt /? I've seam that there are some options that could...

Thanks...

Hi, I just wanted to say thanks a lot for a great tool. I've been using ExamDiff (freeware version) in the past, but I'm now a proud ExamDiff Pro owner. I'm been working with a application generator and were able to check out many 1000 lines of code in several members...both doing directory and file...

Exclude columns 1-6?

Hi, Is there a way to exclude column 1-6 from being marked as changed in ExamDiff, or would you consider implementing that? I know it's possible in ExamDiff Pro, but ExamDiff does everything I/we want except just that. We access ExamDiff from a server, and it's a perfect way to set it up for a group...
