Re: Task continues with disk usage after closing

It's not normal, there are probalby still active threads when even after you close the GUI. Try creating a mindump of the hanging process and sending it to us:

Yes, I know. Still waiting for Stefan Kanthak to update the binaries (and he promised to do it at some point).

Re: Ignore blank lines

Good news! Your persistence paid off: it's a bug. It manifests itself in scenarios your posted but only for the second diff or any diff after that. The fix will appear in the next build.

Re: AStyle

I solved the problem using the alternative syntax "--stdin=$INPUTFILEPATH", but why the previous argument didn't work?
Because EDP does not support this syntax, which typically is not an issue since most command line tools dealing with files would accept file path.

Re: Ignore blank lines

Perhaps although I'm pretty sure we already looked into implementing this and, for whatever reason, did not. We'll have another look.

Re: Ignore blank lines

Yes, I see what you mean, and I'm sure I answered this question before. Re: Compare split lines with non-split lines

If it's the process you described, you could write two scripts, one for .DOC files and the other for .PDF, using, say, sed, and use them as additional plug-ins for these respective file types (Options | Tools | Plug-ins).

Re: Compare split lines with non-split lines

No, there's really no way to do it in EDP. If there was a tool that converts linebreaks within sentences to spaces, it could be used as a plug-in in EDP, but I don't know of such tool.

Re: Encountered an improper argument

It seems broken for me on XP. Do you see the arrow button when you hover of an arrow in grouping mode? I don't see it in XP, but it works fine without grouping.

Re: Encountered an improper argument

Could you try the latest build, before we have to set up the XP text box?
