I have two folders that I want to compare. In one folder there is a shortcut to a file in the other folder. It would be useful for me if Examdiff had an option to make it say the file and its shortcut were identical. Does this feature exist? Could it be added if not?

Ah, you are quite right - I hadn't spotted the significance of the fact that one of the files was not HTML at all.

Perhaps a different HTML plug-in would prevent this situation arising in the first place.
