You actually can match lines starting with 07B024 -- by using Options | Compare | Ignore parts of each line | First/last... | Before: 0, After : 6. This, however, will make these lines "identical", and you'll have to merge manually, by typing or using Copy/Paste.

EDPro can only compare identical directory trees. In such trees, finding duplicates (identical files) is easy by setting up a view filter to only display identical items.

Yes, it does provide 100% certainty that 2 given files are identical. If you compare directory, uncheck all options under "Do not perform full file comparison" in Options | Dir comparison.

I'm not sure what "photographing" of the comparison means.
